New bilingual TEMA+ Master Course

ELTE success story - the TEMA+ European territories: Heritage and Development Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programme starts in September 2018. The TEMA+ programme is coordinated by the Atelier Department of the Eötvös Loránd University and is lead by Dr. Gábor Sonkoly, TEMA+ project manager and scientific coordinator. The administrator coordinator is Lilla Zámbó (PhD Cadidate, ELTE – EHESS).

TEMA+ European Territories: Heritage and Development is a renewed and developed version of the TEMA European Territories: Identity and Development Master Course, which was the first Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) programme coordinated by a Hungarian university, the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. The new TEMA+ has been selected for the Erasmus+ Key Action 1 program and it welcomes the most excellent non-European and European students for another 5 years.

The TEMA+ Consortium formed by the Eötvös Loránd University Budapest, the École des Hautes en Sciences Sociales in Paris, the University of Catania, the Charles University, Prague is now joined by a new non-European partner university too: the Laval University from Canada.

The bilingual (English and French) TEMA+ Master Course wishes to provide better understanding of the growing presence and importance of cultural heritage in a European context by applying a multinational, interdisciplinary approach that none of the existing Masters degree in cultural heritage can offer.

The TEMA+ offers not only a unique international atmosphere, but also prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarships for the most outstanding students. The Erasmus Mundus scholarships include student participation costs, a contribution to student travel and installation cost and a subsistence allowance (1 000 EUR per month) for the entire duration of the EMJMD study programme. At the end of the study programme, students will be awarded with double or multiple degrees (from every partner university, in which (s)he studied for at least one semester).

The Master Course is also open for self-paying students. The tuition fee is 3 000 EUR per year for students coming from any of the programme countries, and 6 000 EUR per year for students coming from a partner countries.

The application deadline for Erasmus Mundus scholarships is the 11th of February 2018 and for self-paying students the 17th of June 2018.

Further essential information about TEMA+ Master Course are available on the program’s website  (www.mastertema.eu), via email (secretary@mastertema.eu) or personally at Lilla Zámbó at the TEMA+ Secretariat:  Atelier Department of European Social Sciences and Historiography (1088 Budapest, Múzeum krt. 6–8.
