Newly-arriving student - Spring 16/17


New students, accepted to start in the upcoming Spring semester (February 2017), are kindly asked to take note of the below.

Please read it through carefully to allow for a smooth transition into our university.

  • Orientation and Welcome Ceremony of the Faculty: Tuesday, 7 February 2017 – 10:00AM – Faculty Council Hall, Building A

The semester will start with the Orientation and Welcome Ceremony for newly-arrived students. Attendance to this event is obligatory. More information and the exact location can be found here: http://www.btk.elte.hu/en/orientation-2016-2017-spring

  • Registration and check-in: 8 – 10 February 2017

More information and the exact times you may ‘check-in’ will be announced during Orientation. Pre-university students will also be expected to take a placement test during this period.

  • Orientation Days organized by the University: Thursday, 9 February 2017
Participation in this event in not required, but highly recommended. More information on the program can be found here: https://www.elte.hu/en/orientation-days-2016-2017-spring


  • Start of classes: Monday, 13 February 2017

Orientation and check-in

You must check-in with the Department of International Affairs to be able to start your studies.

Please take note of the check-in date and time on your checklist. You may find your checklist in the Welcome Package you received during orientation (the red folder).
