Welcome to Budapest, Hungary, one of Europe's most beautiful capitals!

Your plane has just landed. We hope you have had an enjoyable trip, and we are delighted that you have finally made it here.

When you are outside the transit area, buy a SIM card, preferably with a data plan.

Take the taxi from outside the airport at the booth. Beware of scams and illegal taxi drivers approaching you. Alternatively, you can use public transport. Read about it here:

New students, accepted to start in the upcoming fall semester (September 2017), are kindly asked to take note of the below.

Please read it through carefully to allow for a smooth transition into our university.

Please note that orientation for Erasmus students takes place on a rolling basis as you register yourself at the Department of International Affairs. The Orientation Days stated below do not apply to Erasmus scholarship students.

Date and time: 1 September (Friday), 12:00
Attendance: strictly obligatory

Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holders
Orientation Day on Ceremony
of the Faculty:

Venue:
Room 047 (Gombocz terem), Building "A" (follow the signs)
Date and time: 5 September (Tuesday), 15:00
Attendance: strictly obligatory

Orientation Day for latecomers:

Venue: to be announced later
Date and time: 20 September (Wednesday)


The semester will start with the Orientation Day for newly-arrived students. Attendance on this event is obligatory. More information and the exact location can be found here:

You must register with the Department of International Affairs to be able to start your studies.

Please take note of the check-in date and time on your checklist. You may find your checklist in the Welcome Package you received during orientation (the red folder).
