Conference organized by the Department of Digital Humanities.

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming approaches to teaching, research, and cultural heritage. From AI-powered educational tools and research assistants to digital archives and computational methods in cultural studies, the influence of machine learning and language models on the humanities is significant. As AI systems become increasingly sophisticated, it is essential for scholars to critically assess their applications, ethical dimensions, and potential to reshape knowledge production.

The conference is open to PhD students, MA students, and students enrolled in the undivided teacher training programme (from the fourth year onwards) who are interested in the intersection of AI and the humanities. Possible topics include AI-enhanced education, AI-driven research methodologies, digital heritage preservation, and computational cultural studies. The organisers aim to facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue to explore the opportunities and challenges AI presents to academic and cultural practices.

Submissions are welcome in the form of theoretical reflections, practical implementations, or case studies. The event offers a space to collectively reflect on the evolving role of AI in the humanities and its future directions.

Application deadline: 30 June 2025
