ELTE Members at the Venice Biennale

Endre Koronczi has long been fascinated by the artistic representation of airflow. Pneuma Cosmic is based on a fictional research project exploring the manifestations of a cosmic breath that fills the entire world, revealing itself through air currents. The exhibition draws a parallel between air movement and the realm of thought, highlighting the complexity of experiences that arise from intuitive interactions with our environment.
Selected from thirteen proposals, the three-part project incorporates elements from the ventilation system of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, which Koronczi previously explored in his exhibition Please sigh, Mr Széchenyi!.
Curator: Luca Cserhalmi – aesthete, art writer, curator at Godot Contemporary Art Institute, co-organizer of the ECHO environmental aesthetics project, and PhD student at ELTE’s Aesthetics Doctoral Program.
The project also involves Edina Nagy (Associate Professor, Department of Aesthetics) and Zoltán Visnyai (Lecturer, Department of Media and Communication, and graphic designer of the Faculty of Humanities' Communications Division).
