Dávid Bartus is the new Dean of the Faculty of Humanities from 1st Feb 2021
The Faculty Council supported the habilitated associate professor, archaeologist, current vice-dean with a vast majority on their council meeting on 3rd December 2020.

In his programme, Dávid Bartus emphasized that he would like to continue the guideline of the past 3 years. He received a strong support from the 57-member Faculty Council since on 3rd December, the 56 present members gave their 95% consent to Dávid Bartus' appointment as the new dean. He will be able to start his work from 1st February 2021 as the youngest dean ever in the history of Eötvös Loránd University.

Dávid Bartus has taken part in the life of the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University since 1998. At first, as a student and a demonstrator, then as a PhD student at the Institute of Archaeological Sciences. After these, he became an assistant lecturer, then a senior lecturer, and since 2018 he has been teaching and doing research as an associate professor. From 2018 he is the vice-president of the Association of Hungarian Archaeologists, the Head of the Department of Classical and Roman Provincial Archaeology, and the Vice-Dean for Research and Academic Affairs.
