My main research field is theoretical questions of Knowledge Organization, Classification and Indexing, particularly the Epistemology of Knowledge Organization and role of Concept. I participate the developing work to the UDC system and research solutions of information visualization. I have several memberships in the different international library associations (the Association of Hungarian Librarians, IFLA, EUCLID, ISKO), particularly related to questions of Information and Knowledge Management, Library Policy, including problems of Sustainability.

I have some research related to the library history in 19-21 century, too, particularly the reading clubs and civil associations.

I study all levels of LID education, including the further education, too. My main research fields are connections and inherences among Professional Identity, Competencies and LIS Education, including questions of Information Literacy and Library Pedagogy.
