Faculty credit recognition

Starting in the 2022/23 academic year, the following faculty credit recognition procedure applies to all Erasmus+ students from the Faculty of Humanities (BTK) going abroad:

1. Before the mobility

  • Before departure, the student consults the academic coordinator and prepares the Before the Mobility” section of the Learning Agreement (LA), which is a precondition for the payment of the Erasmus+ grant. In Table A of the document, please indicate the subjects you wish to enrol in the receiving institution. In Table B, list the ELTE curriculum subjects that you wish to complete with the courses taken at the partner institution. The document is signed by three parties: the student, the receiving institution, and the sending institution.

  • Students may submit a request for a “uniquely tailored study arrangement” together with the LA before departure. If the student intends to complete a course from the ELTE curriculum with a course not taken at the partner institution, the application and authorisation for the uniquely tailored study arrangement includes the scope and precise requirements of the subjects to be taken (the Erasmus regulations do not support taking courses at the home university during a mobility period). The application must be submitted to the Registrar's Office in accordance with the relevant academicregulations.

2. During the mobility

  • After departure, the student indicates any necessary changes to the LA in the “During the Mobility” section of the document according to the final list of courses taken at the host institution and sends the document to the faculty coordinator. The “During the Mobility” section of the LA must be handed in by everyone who has made changes to the courses listed in the “Before the Mobility” section of the LA. Only deleted or added courses should be indicated in the document. If there have been no changes in the course list, the student must notify the faculty coordinator when submitting the Equivalence form.

  • The course equivalence form is the annex to the “During the Mobility” (or in the absence of change, “Before the Mobility") section of the LA. Every student is required to submit this document.

  • The deadline for finalising the course list and submitting the two documents (During the Mobility” of the LA and Equivalence form) is 30 November (for students travelling to Germany: 15 January) for the autumn semester and 30 April (for students travelling to Germany: 31 May) for the spring semester.

  • The 2nd instalment of the student's Erasmus+ grant can only be awarded once the above requirements have been met.

  • Further information on what to do during your mobility period and how to fill out the Equivalence form can be found under the "During the mobility tasks" menu.

3. After the mobility

  • The student uploads the official “Transcript of Records” document (received from the host institution) to the Mobility-Online system, and the administrator from the Registrar's Office records the credits and their corresponding grades using the LA and the Equivalence form.
  • By uploading the Transcript of Records, the student requests the final scholarship calculation.
