The Dean is the accountable leader of the Faculty. The Dean is elected for a four-year term by the Faculty Council from among the Faculty's Professors or Associate Professors.
The Dean's responsibilities include, in particular, representing the Faculty, directing and supervising the Faculty's organizational units, the Faculty's educational activities, and the continuing education programs organized at the Faculty. In Faculty matters, the Dean exercises signing authority and, with regard to the financial resources available to the Faculty, financial authorization authority. In addition, the Dean's responsibilities include directing the Faculty's human resources work, appointing Vice-Deans, Heads of Department, and other heads of organizational units, preparing the meetings of the Faculty Council, implementing the decisions made there, directing the Faculty offices, and exercising powers delegated by the Rector.
Four Vice-Deans assist the Dean's work at the Faculty: Vice-Dean for General Affairs, Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs, Vice-Dean for Research and Academia, and Vice-Dean for International Affairs.
