Orientation Week at ELTE Faculty of Humanities has officially begun with a Welcome Ceremony celebrating the arrival of nearly 600 newly enrolled international students. The incoming cohort includes Erasmus exchange students, Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holders, and students pursuing Foundation, BA, MA, and PhD programmes.
The event opened with welcoming remarks from Dr Orsolya Réthelyi, Vice-Dean for International Affairs, followed by informative presentations from the Department of International Affairs, student representatives, and faculty members. The sessions provided practical guidance and introduced students to the academic and community life of the Faculty, while a Student Organisations Fair in the lobby showcased several peer organisations dedicated to supporting and empowering our students.
On the ground floor of Gólyavár, several student organisations and support services were present to answer questions and help participants navigate university life. Among the exhibitors were the Students' Union of the Faculty of Humanities, the International Student Integration Knowledge Centre (InSINC), the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), the International Student Advisory Committee (ISAC), and the Stipendium Hungaricum Mentor Network.
Throughout the week, participants will take part in a variety of activities, including campus tours, orientation sessions, and social programmes designed to help them settle into their new environment and connect with fellow students. The full programme is available here.
