The main field of my research is in the contact zone between social research, contemporary community art, and public policy (including local social development projects). From a media studies perspective I continuously map, describe, and analyse the emerging forms of participatory practice – especially in community arts, with a special attention to the specific forms of collaboration among different institutions and new professions. In terms of methodology, this type of inquiry tends to be participatory itself (referring to both extended local fieldwork, and  developing a self-reflective critique of research methods in their socio-historic contexts).
