Özge Somlyai is a doctoral candidate and assistant lecturer at the Department of Media and Communication, Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). Her doctoral research explores the comparative dynamics of media ecosystems in Hungary and Turkey, with a special focus on the evolution of independent online media. Drawing on her previous experience as a journalist, she teaches practice-oriented seminars and lectures at ELTE and the University of Pécs (PTE), combining her professional experience with academic perspectives. Özge also promotes international cooperation at ELTE as the departmental contact of the European Journalism Training Association (EJTA).
