Discourse Analysis
My research focuses on discourse analysis, particularly Critical Discourse Analysis and the study of political discourse. My academic work primarily examines the relationship between language, ideology, and power relations, with special emphasis on Turkish political speeches and their discursive and argumentative strategies. In my research I apply the Discourse-Historical Approach (DHA), the Ideological Square Model, Topical Structure Analysis (TSA) and other critical approaches, I investigate ideological representations, linguistic polarization, and multimodal discourses. My research interests also extend to argumentation theory, translation theory, and interculturality.
